Whats On Central – Booking system for event organisers

At software company Objective Associates we’ve opened up the internals of our event publicity website What’s On Central so that (for a small fee) event organisers can use the booking system. Business Forum Scotland have been using it for a wee while and we thought now was the correct time to open it up to the wider community. The system lets you accept bookings, issue invoices and log payment and it does so using a simple to use interface. We know that event organisers need easy to administer systems and if you want to see how easy it is sign up and try the trial offering out before parting with cash.

Web Wise Business Newsletter System – Whats On Central

At software company Objective Associates we’ve been sending out an email newsletter to promote a few of the events publicised on Whats On Central for a good few months now. You can advertise your Scotland business or academic event for free on the website and the newsletter helps to promote a few of those businesses directly. Watching the traffic flow to the site after sending out the newsletter is always interesting – a sharp attack as people click and then a slow decay as people get to their email over 2 days. And then the residual traffic remains a wee bit higher than it did before.

Web Wise Business Newsletter System – capability gets an uplift

With the success of our email campaigns at the software company Objective Associates we have been steadily working on improving the capability of our newsletter offering to our software clients and website customers. The new improved newsletter system will go on general release before too long. If you want to see the type of things we have been doing to date then the Whats On Central website lets you trial the current version – but more is coming soon.

Whats On Central – Business Network meetings on the up

With many folks heading off for a break in the summer event organisers can normally do a bit of planning and think through their program for the remainder of the year. We’ve seen the result of that on our free to use event publicity site Whats On Central. Event organisers have been busy filling up their diaries with their various events in and around the central belt of Scotland. It’s now broke through the 100 events barrier – for a while we couldn’t quit get through it. Whats On Central is something we are very proud of at software company Objective Associates – and we’re working on a range of other initiatives that will help business win new business so stay tuned.

Whats on? Why dont you know

We help out with a local business networking group – http://www.businessforumscotland.com – and it was pointed out that planning an event was a nightmare as you could not find out if the event you were planning would clash with some other event. So in a moment of utter obviousness we came up with http://www.whatsoncentral.co.uk – a free to use event advertising site for business and academic event organisers.

Seems we weren’t the only networking group with a planning and promotion challenge – the sites been a nice wee success – and we get to show folk what we do into the bargain.
